Mulumbo Early Childhood Development Foundation

Mulumbo Early Childhood Care and Development runs community-based centres that provide ECED services to children ages 0-8 in economically vulnerable communities in Zambia, advocates for increased national attention to ECED, and mentors other ECED programs. Mulumbo caregivers also provide home-based early childhood development services for children between the ages of 0-3 by conducting home visits. Caregivers provide antenatal advice and services to pregnant women, and provide support and guidance to parents on nutrition and parenting issues.

Malawi Council for the Handicapped (MACOHA)

MACOHA, a Malawian governmental agency, are at the forefront of work to help men and women with disabilities to be more independent, self-sufficient, and recognized as equals within Malawian society; receiving the same educational and other opportunities that exist for able-bodied people. As well as lobbying for these rights and helping families access disability and educational  aids, they also have vocational training centres. GCT worked with MACOHA from 2008-2011 to extend their vocational training programme to Dowa district, a rural governmental target area.

Lesotho College of Education

The Lesotho College of Education began its life in 1975 under the name of National Teacher Training College (NTTC).  UNESCO assisted in the initial planning of the institution.

Kandengues Unidos

Kandengues Unidos is a group of activists, educators and professionals from various areas of knowledge with extensive experience working directly with populations who live in conditions of greater vulnerability to the exercise of their basic rights. Their main objective is to identify, produce and promote the access of the most vulnerable groups to information appropriate to their needs, particular living conditions and culture. Their strategy is to identify and test with specific groups informative contents that respond to their needs and clarify their doubts.

Forum for African Women Educationalists

The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) is a leading Pan - African NGO advocating for African girls’ education in Africa. FAWE supports 34 countries in sub-Saharan Africa in promoting girls’ education.  The mission of FAWE is to promote gender equity and equality in the field of education in Africa by fostering positive policies, practices and attitudes towards girls’ education. FAWE’s goals and vision are in line with Education for All.

Education Coalition of Zimbabwe

Education Coalition of Zimbabwe is a network of civic society organisations working within education sector in Zimbabwe working on advocacy for attainment of EFA goals. The coalition came up with a 2011-2015 Strategic Plan in 2010 as a way of to respond to educational needs in Zimbabwean context. Some of the strategic thrusts include monitoring educational policy formulation and implementation and education financing.
