The Centre for Human Rights (CDH) is an Eduardo Mondlane University Law Faculty spin off.
It was established to fill a gap in Mozambique in the provision of training, research and capacity building services to local NGOs, government departments, lawyers and members of parliament. t focuses specifically on matters of good governance, justice and rule of law.
Although they have yet to fully establish themselves, in terms of research and publication, OSISA is of the view that pairing the CDH with a regional institution – such as the Civil Society Prison Reform Initiative at the Western Cape University (CSPRI) – will provide the necessary skills transfer and boost this aspect of the CDH’s work.
