Associação Justiça Paz e Democracia (AJPD) was established 12 years ago by a group of active young people concerned with the unjust and repressive social, political and economic governance in which people were forced to live.
It is a national human rights organization which has grown to become one of the main references in the field of human rights monitoring and protection, social and legal advocacy and lobbying. AJPD has already published a number of reports, including 'A Glance at the Angolan penal system' in 2006 and 'Angola: the hidden violation of my rights in the pacification of the country' in 2005.
AJPD has previously received funding from OSISA-Angola to implement a project on human rights monitoring and monitoring of HIV/AIDS public health services.
