Mental Health Users Network of Zambia (MHUNZA)

The Mental Health Users Network of Zambia (MHUNZA) was established in 2000 and is registered as a NGO under the Registrar of Societies in 2002 (registration number ORS/102/35/267). MHUNZA is the only organisation that represents and focuses on promotion, protection and advancement of human rights of persons with psychosocial disabilities in Zambia. With a vision to ensure a society free of stigma and discrimination against persons with Psychosocial and Intellectual disabilities, MHUNZA’s mission is to advocate and promote the human rights of persons with psychosocial disabilities in order to minimize their vulnerability to stigma and discrimination and enhance their full and equal enjoyment of their human rights and fundamental freedoms.
