The Secretariat of the African Decade of Persons with Disabilities (SADPD) in collaboration with the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa (OSISA) and the Swaziland government Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) is organising a conference on education for children with disabilities with the theme “The Rights of Children with Disabilities: The Duty to Protect, Respect, Promote and fulfil the right to Education for Children With Disabilities”.
Conference Objectives
a) To disseminate findings from the Education for Children with Special Education needs research conducted by SADPD Southern African.
b) Discuss programmatic and operational elements of effective education services assuring quality of services, including assessment and impact evaluation
c) Develop a programme for education of children with special education needs in Southern Africa.
d) Promote regional exchange and sharing of applicable lessons of good practice
