Currently working as Senior Programme Specialist for Monitoring and Evaluation at the Zambian Governance Foundation (ZGF).
ZGF is an organization that supports civil society working to build social accountability and policy engagement in Zambia through Grant Making and Capacity Development.
ZGF has since 2009 support over 60 CSOs in Zambia. She formerly worked at the Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection (JCTR), beginning as Information Officer and later as Policy Analyst/ Programme Officer in Economic Equity and Development (Formerly Debt, Aid and Trade Programme/Jubilee Zambia.
JCTR promotes study and action on pro-poor policy through research and advocacy on social issues such as cost of living, social implications of debt servicing, trade patterns that benefit the poor, how aid can be made more effective in eradicating poverty, accessibility of health care and education, social protection and human rights.
Chilufya is the Matron of the University of Zambia, Development Studies Students Association (UNZADESSA), 2012- 2013 academic year. She has worked to support artistic development and empowerment of youth by being one of three founders of the first all Cartoon Magazine in Zambia.
She is one of 14 Southern Africa Trust Leadership for Change fellows a community of learning and practice for civil society emerging leaders in the region.
