Researcher needed for Education of OCVs

In 2008 OSISA and OSI Education Support Programme initiated a collaborative research project to focus on the role of the education sector in providing comprehensive care and support to children who are orphaned or vulnerable, in order to maximise their ability to learn and thus ensure that their right to a quality education is realised. OSISA is currently seeking an experienced social researcher, based in Southern Africa, to drive the finalisation of this research initiative. The lead researcher should have:

  • A well-documented record of independent research
  • Experience designing research instruments
  • Ability to conduct a cost-benefit analysis
  • Experience interacting with national governments and international donor agencies

Experience in programme management and a degree in the social sciences or humanities is preferred.
